Sculpture 2 with Stephen Newton is designed for those with some experience in sculpture or 3D. Sculpture 2 explores additive and subtractive processes through casting, carving and assemblage. Project 1 explores making a plaster bandage mould for a series of clay works which are fired and hand coloured. Project 2 explores casting and carving a block of plaster into a desired form which can be coloured or given a textured surface. Project 3 explores two contrasting assemblage sculptures using found objects. The first is made from found objects of similar colour treatments, the second sculpture can be constructed from different coloured objects and is unified with a colour or surface treatment.
