In this workshop with Stephen Newton, you will be guided through the exploration and use of a range of drawing pencils. Each session will explore different pencil types including lead pencils, graphite sticks and powder, colour pencils and watercolour pencils. You will learn techniques of observation, linework and hatching, blending to create tone, form and texture, and colour. Students will also learn about types of drawing paper, and each session will explore different subject matter.
